Wisner-Pilger Volleyball Falls to Oakland-Craig and Elkhorn Valley

Tough Losses for Lady Bulldogs

The Wisner-Pilger Lady Bulldogs volleyball team faced tough competition last week, falling to both Oakland-Craig and Elkhorn Valley.

Oakland-Craig Match

On September 5th, the Lady Bulldogs traveled to Oakland, Nebraska, to take on the Oakland-Craig Knights. The Knights came out strong, winning the first set 25-13.

The Lady Bulldogs fought back in the second set, but ultimately fell 25-18. The Knights closed out the match with a 25-16 win in the third set.

Elkhorn Valley Match

Two days later, the Lady Bulldogs hosted the Elkhorn Valley Falcons. The Falcons jumped out to an early lead, winning the first set 25-15.

The Lady Bulldogs rallied in the second set but lost 25-23. The Falcons then sealed the victory with a 25-17 win in the third set.

Looking Ahead

Despite the tough losses, the Lady Bulldogs remain optimistic. They will look to bounce back next week when they travel to Stanton, Nebraska, to take on the Stanton Mustangs.
