Jonathan Osorio Extends Contract With Toronto FC

Toronto FC and Canadian midfielder Jonathan Osorio have agreed to a new contract that will keep him with the club through the 2024 season with an option for 2025.

Osorio, 29, has been with Toronto FC since 2013 and has made over 250 appearances for the club.

He has won two Canadian Championships with Toronto FC and helped the club reach the MLS Cup final in 2016 and 2017.

Osorio is a key member of the Canadian national team and has made over 50 appearances for his country.

He was part of the Canadian team that won the Gold Cup in 2021.

"I'm very happy to have extended my contract with Toronto FC," Osorio said.

"This club has been my home for many years and I'm committed to helping the team achieve success."

"I'm excited about the future of this club and I'm looking forward to helping us win more trophies."

Toronto FC president Bill Manning said Osorio is a "cornerstone" of the club.

"He is a world-class player and a great leader," Manning said.

"We're thrilled to have him back with us for the long term."

Osorio's new contract is a sign of Toronto FC's commitment to building a winning team.

The club has made several key signings in recent months, including Lorenzo Insigne and Federico Bernardeschi.

With Osorio now locked up for the long term, Toronto FC is well-positioned to compete for trophies in the years to come.
