Despite entering the season with a top-25 ranking, the Colorado Buffaloes had endured a trying start to their 2023 campaign, losing their first eight games. However, on Saturday night, the Buffs put an end to their skid, securing a decisive 38-17 victory over the North Dakota State Bison.

Strong Start Fuels Colorado's Victory

The Buffaloes seized control of the game early on, racking up 21 unanswered points in the first quarter. Quarterback Owen McCown orchestrated an efficient passing attack, while Deion Smith and Anthony Hankerson made key contributions on the ground. * McCown completed 18 of 27 passes for 213 yards and two touchdowns. * Smith rushed for 78 yards and one touchdown on 15 carries. * Hankerson added 62 rushing yards and one touchdown on 12 attempts.

Defense Shines for Buffs

While the offense set the tone, the Colorado defense played a pivotal role in securing the win.
