The Toronto Blue Jays took sole possession of first place in the American League East on Saturday night with their 6-4 win over the Boston Red Sox. The Blue Jays are now a half-game ahead of the New York Yankees, who lost to the Tampa Bay Rays on Saturday night.

The Blue Jays have won five of their last six games, including three straight over the Red Sox. In their win on Saturday, the Blue Jays scored six runs in the first three innings off of Red Sox starter Nathan Eovaldi. Teoscar Hernandez had three hits, including a home run, and two RBIs for the Blue Jays.

The Blue Jays will look to continue their winning ways when they open a three-game series against the Baltimore Orioles on Monday.
